“Pagtubag sa Kawad-on ug Pagtubag sa Kagutom (to address poverty and hunger),” was the Hon. Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon’s slogan for this activity. She further emphasized her aim to reduce if not eliminate poverty in the entire province through her Pagkain at Kita Program. Aside from planting and backyard livestock raising, aquaculture should also be in their list.

It is daunting to hear that natural resources in our country are at stake due to manmade and natural disasters. However, the municipality of Governor Generoso is taking the right step in protecting and preserving the natural resources especially the almaciga trees which takes an enormous account in the history and culture of the municipality.
